Earth Poetry x Art Contest

In celebration of Earth Month and National Poetry Month, your friends at Clover Toys invite you to join us in expressing our love for our beautiful planet. From April 1–20, we will be accepting entries into our first ever Earth Poetry x Art Contest! All ages are welcome to participate and we have both in-person and remote options.

Rules & Conditions

Cost: Free!

Number of entries: One (1) per category (in-person or remote)

Required information: First names (or pseudonyms) and ages of all participants, title of the piece (if applicable), media type, and category.

Deadline: April 20, 2025

Voting: April 22–29 (in-person or online via Instagram)

Awards: May 3 (in-person) & May 4 (remote)

 

Categories (in-person & remote)

Individual: Submissions by one (1) person age 7+.

Parent-Child: Submissions by no more than one (1) adult and two (2) children under age 7.

Family & Friends: Submissions by groups of four (4) or more people.

 

Media Requirements

  • One (1) original, flat, clean, and dry paper art piece with included poem per category entry. For remote submissions, please upload a high-quality photo of the entry using the form below (see example). Do not include a photo of the participant(s).
  • No digital or AI-generated content or entries with food products, garbage, or offensive content will be accepted.
  • Minimum size: 4x6 inches
  • Maximum size: 8.5 x 11 inches.
  • Each piece must contain: (1) an original poem, (2) an original artistic element, and (3) focus on some aspect of the Earth, nature, or conservation.

 

Submissions

Local participants: Please submit your entry at Clover Toys by 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 20.

Remote participants: Please submit your entry using the form below by 11:59 p.m. on April 20. No email submissions will be accepted.

 

Voting

In-store voting: April 22–29. Please stop by and vote for an in-store discount!

Online voting: April 22–29. Like and share to cast your vote on Instagram.

 

Winners

One (1) winner will be selected for each category (in-person and remote) based on the number of votes. Clover Toys staff will serve as tie-breakers. Categories for which there are insufficient votes will be excluded from awards. In addition to the category winners, one (1) grand prize winner will be selected from among the in-store submissions.

 

Prizes & Announcements

Winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded for in-store participants on Saturday, May 3. Winners of the remote contest will be announced via Instagram and digital prizes will be awarded on May 4. All prizes are non-redeemable for cash or credit and may not be substituted for other items.
